A dog can produce thousands of offspring and a pair of cats can multiply to half a million in just ten years. Many of these vulnerable creatures end up on the streets. We’ve nurtured several puppies and kittens with a bottle, as heartless individuals abandoned them like trash. Our spirit: fix them all so we don’t have to save them all.
🥺 Out of Options, Out of Miracles, Out of Time!!! 🥺
Saf is frequently out feeding stray dogs and over time we’ve come to know each one of them. Every week, more dogs are callously dumped on the streets of SXM without any pity. We catch them and bring them to the vet for spaying and neutering.
Afterwards, we have to put them back because they can’t go anywhere else. Sometimes the dogs are too weak and the risk of them being run over, poisoned or attacked by other strays is too high and tragically puppies don’t survive under such conditions. With all organizations at full capacity and no one able to take them in, euthanasia becomes the only option..
a fate that Saf wants to avoid. 💉
In january 2025, 52 dogs were dumped and found their way to Saf. Saf has taken home a lot of dogs and found temporary fosters. We’ve been working tirelessly to find loving homes for them, but unfortunately, there is little interest. We are completely exhausted (personally & financially) and can no longer keep up with this crisis.
We urgently need people with a ❤️ who are willing to adopt one of these sweet, beautiful, friendly dogs. A piece of land where they could temporarily stay would also help us out for now. This is truly a cry for help; we are completely out of options, miracles and time!
💔 Adopt, foster, donate, or share; it’s all up to you.
So please help -> this is what YOU can do! 💔

Meet Cariba & Modelo
I'm lucky to have many success stories to share, and I'd love to tell you about them. First up is the story of Cariba & Modelo. These two little pups I’ve rescued from under a trash container. They were covered in ticks, lice, and had ringworms. They stayed with us for two months in Sint Maarten before flying with us to the Netherlands, where they found their forever home. Stay tuned for more stories to come.
